Subscription and double opt-in
Subscribing needs one thing: an e-mail address. After you send the form you are not added to the list straight away. First you receive a message with a confirmation link, valid for seven days. Only clicking that link adds the address to the recipient list.
This is the double opt-in mechanism. It protects against someone subscribing another person's address by mistake or maliciously, and it is good practice consistent with the principle of informed consent. If you do not confirm within seven days, the unconfirmed subscription is deleted.
How an issue is prepared
At the beginning of each month an automated process gathers updates from five sources: PKN, ISO, IATF, VDA and AIAG. A draft issue is built from the material collected.
Collection
The process fetches the official pages and announcements of the five organisations and extracts new items with links to the sources.
Review
The draft issue goes to the editor first, not to subscribers. The editor checks the links, removes noise and keeps what matters for quality.
Sending
The approved issue goes to confirmed recipients, in the language they subscribed in. A copy is added to the issue archive.
The overriding rule: we quote nothing from memory. Every item in an issue links to source material so you can verify it yourself. If there are no significant changes in a given month, the issue notes that and is short, rather than padded.
When and how often
One issue a month, at the beginning of the month. Between issues we send nothing: no offers, no reminders, no partner messages. If you ever receive anything from us other than the monthly digest, treat it as an error and let us know.
Unsubscribing and changing your mind
Every message has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it removes the address from the list immediately, with no login, no survey and no request for a reason. You can withdraw your consent to the newsletter at any time, and withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier sending.

What data we keep
Only what is necessary for sending: the e-mail address, the chosen language, a confirmation flag and the subscription and confirmation dates. We do not collect your name, company or job title. We do not profile recipients and we do not sell the list. The full description is in the privacy policy.
